Well said Amanda, i totally agree for a slightly different reason. My other half drives the snow plows for our council. People complain when the roads arnt clear, well thats because all the idiots think 'emergency journeys only' means everyone but them. The roads clog up with traffic so snow plows stuck in traffic are a lot less effective!!!!!
Can i have a cookie now too?

Thanks. And thanks to your other half. I am seeing some great people out there who are plowing, hauling, treating, etc. the roads. They are awesome. Those of us involved in health care...we love people like your other half!

And, they aren't getting paid enough. I hope our government enforces the SOE driving bans and issues citations on these people to help pay the people (and the necessary equipment and materials) who are clearing our roads. Better yet, let's impound their stranded vehicles, issue citations, and make them pay it all before they get it all back.


The National Guard...awesome.

Ambulance crews...awesome.

Fire crews...awesome.

Police...awesome.

My fellow coworkers doing what they need to come into work...awesome.
The farming community stepping up to the plate with their equipment to help...awesome (support our local farmers people!!!)

Anyone actively involved in cleaning up this storm and taking care of lives and the ones supporting everyone mentioned above (love ya WaWa)....awesome.

Thanks to my state to making every effort to NOT close the interstates, unlike another state next to ours. PA had to shut down some of theirs in some areas.

the snow in maryland is just crazy... two blizzards in the past week

The entire Mid-Atlantic is insane. I'm not sure I want to even know what the total amount of snow is from the two back to back blizzards. I know many roofs are caving in and that's rather scary. Plenty of people are out of power...and have been for days in many areas! People are getting hurt trying to do their best to help remove snow...it's just vicious.

You are welcome. I try to get the stuff to make cookies and brownies, and stew when it is going to be too nasty to get out, but I do not buy many cooies or sweets.

No snow here but it is COLD. I actually pressed papers fresh out of the copier to my neck and chest to warm up in the office today. Maybe a hot bath and a warm cuppa will do the trick!

At home now. My university closed at noon. Doesn't open until 10 tomorrow. Roads not so snowy now but will ice over once everyone gets home tonight. Might get a bit more snow tonight.

I must say I've never done that! At the party I went to last Saturday they had this heart shaped pad that you just bend and it warms up, I should have picked one up, it has multiple uses, like stick it by your feet in bed to keep them warm!

Yeah, it took me trolling through twice to spot it. Wow, that is a bad, but at least they didn't gamble the savings away. Nope we kept our money, we only gamble 3 days out of 5, I spent $60 on gambling And $35 on superbowl

We had somewhere between 10 to 13, depending on who you listened to or what drift you look at. Our drive had some pretty designs this morning, like little drifts.
