So ready for my mini-vacation! Two nights with no children or hubby to deal with. The down side- huge amounts of homework to do!

what harm are flags in a cemetery? really...

The cemetery where my grandfather is buried said that flags and other items around the plot are dangerous and therefore nothing can be placed beside the marker only in the vase with flowers. So they take everyone's flags up and don't say anything! Now they don't know where our flag pole is... SO TAKE IT UP AND DON'T TELL ANYONE THEN MISPLACE THE FLAG POLE!!! AGH!!!!!! that pole cost money people!!! It won't cheap and it was very nice and brand new!!!

I know one of the Catholic cemeteries in my area has this rule. It's because it makes the grounds keeping easier. We were told about it upfront. Ideally, they should have informed you and gave you an appropriate time to remove said items.

Tiff, is your Dad using a realtor agent to help you look for a home also.
Many people who are transferred out only list with a realtor.

When my previous job relocated to Georgia, I was given a "relocation package." It included assistance with selling my home here, help with real estate agents, paid trips to GA to house shop, purchasing a home in GA, packing my stuff, moving my stuff, etc. It was pretty inclusive save if you had something large and/or odd to move like a wine collection or piano or something along those lines you'd have to pay for yourself. All this included raise in my salary. I turned it down.

Dad went to PF Chang's last night in Atlanta. We have one here but have never ate there before lol. He ate at the one in Irvine CA when we were there last year lol that was his first time eating there. Takes a cross country trip to eat at a restaurant that's at your backdoor lol.

Really enjoy PF Chang's they have good food. That's funny he hasn't gone near home but when away.

wonder if payless had there flip flops out yet... need a new pair!

At least up here nothing else is allowed. It stated it in the plot purchase agreement. Anything beyond flowers would be removed and discarded.

They have been sued by people tripping over stuff. Also it is difficult to mow around everyone's stuff. Our town-homes around here adhere to the same rules to accommodate landscapers.

I remember being little and when everyone just brought what they wished to the cemetery. It began to look like an outdoor thrift shop.

Ok ladies here's my story. I can have fake flowers & put a flag in it. My parents have a urn that hey mow around. But, every time I take flowers some lovely person takes my flowers. I even put a note to please leave them as they are for my parents. The cemetary has no clue. So now I buy from the dollar store & those go too. DH says they are to nice so that's why they go. Everyone else's stay. LOL I give up.
