I love the word shenanigans. Its fun to say... band was ok, we started testing today and I am already failing band, the school year has not even started.

Afternoon gang!

Well, it looks like our normal Texas summer weather finally showed up, although a tad late...
It was 102 yesterday and supposed to be the same today. When I started mowin' the back yard it was 101.
Got another (someone else's) yard to do this afternoon. Hope to start on it around 4-ish. Shoulda', obviously, done it this mornin' but was busy with other stuff...!
Oh well, I'll just make sure I take my time and stay REALLY hydrated.....SOP...!

so we went to the reopening of Disney store in L.I. New York. it was cool. they also had a DVC open house. so yeah we are now DVC members at Bay Lake Tower.

went swimming after lunch, first off there was only a few other people like 5 at the most, then when we get in... EVERYONE shows up! I can't stand a crowded pool but manged to keep a corner to ourselves for awhile. It was cold because the sun kept going in. Then went for a walk tonight, went to the grocery store today. Tomorrow will be more exploring MO. Washington, MO is on the list for tomorrow, maybe more swimming. We'll see how the day goes. Extremely tired tonight so I'll be turning in early again.

How far is Walt's hometown from you?

I don't like crowded pools either, nor freezing cold pool water.

Hello from Nashville everyone! The weather is hot & humid as MoJo warned, but I LOVE IT! Made it in 11 1/2 hours not bad at all. The apartment is freezing with the air conditioning but I will live. Air mattress is good but can't lay on it much. So far we've gone to an old jail turned brewery Saturday night & downtown, yep after we arrived. Yesterday was Arrington Winery & the Mellow Mushroom & CeCe's Sweets. All yummy. Today is a pool / workout day. Then to Music City Bar & Grill to hear Amanda perform.

Well off for coffee & more fun. Have a great week. Miss you all!

Sounds great. Nashville is rather awesome, especially in the downtown area.

Shhhh! I'm still working on the DH for a second home there.

Seriously though there isn't much difference this year from No. IL to Orlando. During our heat wave it was cooler there.

Yeah, summer showed up everywhere finally. BUT i still remember that three weeks of utterly bitter cold, wind and 20ish degree days. So, I am still okay with the heat.

Okay, 3.5 hours and 209 miles. maybe a weekend trip.

School starts for DD on the 11th of this month.

Last year it started 2 weeks later.

Ugh, so NOT ready for that.

On the bright side, she has read a fair bit towards her independent log. She has read 13 books in the last two weeks, ALL of them over 150 pages, and five were classics. ALL count toward the reading log which counts as a full test grade at the years end.

She is enjoying the Princess Diaries (I have read them all as well). She is working her way thru the True American Girl Stories now. This one is about a gal who was on the Titanic. She read Indian Captive last week.

I agree with mini-v! I want her to have cooler temps to. Like in 3 weeks when I'm there. Nice 80 degrees would work for me.

I love coming home from work and seeing the Phineas and Ferb is on and then The Incredibles!!

So it looks like I'm going to be Candace for MNSSHP and other friends and their kids are going to be Phineas, Ferb, Doof and Stacy. It should be fun!
