This woman could care less about the outfits the athletes wear. I'm more interested in seeing the best each event/country can produce.

I hate any sport where a judge's interpretation means the difference between winning & losing. Baseball and football are bad enough when a ref or ump screws up a play...I can't imagine watching something which solely depends on the opinions of judges. The quicker the olympics are over, the better, for me.

Recently Drum Corps International has had a lot of problems with judge interpretation on that note.

No. That's not me. I could care less about the opening ceremonies. I like the competition and how much work these people have done to get to this level of excellence.

But I also have come to learn that men don't necessarily understand women in many accounts.

Hmmm....I'm liking the top Chinese pair and the German pair who are , respectively, first and second after the short program. Who will get the gold?

Dang! Didn't even think of that. I was thinking more about Apolo and Shaun.

Not sure. I watched some of it but not all of it to really pick a favorite.

North of Montreal! (Now back to the topic at hand!)

I have to google something I heard on the radio, apparently the skating costumes of one of the pairs was something to see?

The German pair skated to "Send in the Clowns" with costumes reminiscent of clowns and face make-up. They were more "ice dancing" than "pairs" in their appearance, but they skated a great routine. I'm really looking to what they do in the long program. And China seems to be a force to reckon with this year....

I am so disappointed that the Americans are not doing better in this category, and, as usual the judging is insane. Falls were rewarded and good perfomances were not. Typical. And part of the fun.
