Why DON'T you use a fountain pen?

I have been using a fountain pen for a couple years now, and it makes writing enjoyable. I actually enjoy taking notes in class because I love the way it writes. I am currently using a Lamy Safari (Charcoal) with Noodlers Walnut ink. The pen only costs like $25 with the ink converter, and ink is pretty cheap for how long it lasts.

I can't figure out why more people don't use them. I feel like if people would just give them a shot they would not regret it. After a week of writing with a fountain pen you will never be able to go back to a ballpoint. I love having a special, unique pen that is always with me, and I especially love the freedom of choosing my favorite ink/pen whenever I like.

I love my fountain pens. I do not carry one with me or leave one in my car though. I write many thank you notes, invitations etc. with fountain pens. Eons ago, my Wedding Invitations, then birth announcements.

Plus I just enjoy writing with them.

I use them at times, but being left handed i have a tendency to drag the ink along the page with my hand.... not a good look.

I do love them though, just been looking at some Mont Blanc pens.
