I honestly think that it really wouldn't have made a huge difference whether it was Mickey or Oswald that were the catalysts for the beginnings of all of Walt's ultimate dreams, and realizations of those dreams. I'm sure it was pretty much all set in his mind from his earliest years...the way he thought and dreamed, his childhood in Marceline, and the driving need he had to make his dreams come true for himself and others.
After all, at the risk of over-simplification, for the most part, Oswald was just Mickey with longer ears...! :grin: :wink: :D
