To me the difference is like night and day. The "new posts" section used to always be a page or more. Now most times it is only 4 or 5 threads.

The more popular attractions are often talked to death because of their appeal, and the less popular attractions are ignored because no one really cares. The forthcoming attractions can't be discussed in any real detail because so much can change, and so much is only rumour. Take the Fantasyland expansion for example. The dead attractions also run out of steam once memories are run-dry, for by their very nature there is nothing new to discuss, short of their destruction.

Thus you end up with more or less constant forum games, which I must admit I am not a fan of, nor have I ever been. Once you factor in the real world, you are left with a situation where there are only ever bursts: someone's trip report for example, or a new announcement, or the countdown to a new attraction's opening.

What would you prefer? Inane babble just to keep the forum "active"? Or some real discussion every now and again?

Just another point of view into the mix.
OOOooooo!!! I'm steamin' now!!!!! I have to take EXTREME exception to your ill-informed comments about "inane babble"...
It is our God-given right as Americans to babble inanely! Do you have any idea of how many Americans have died for us to keep that CONSTITUTIONAL right?!?! At the risk of sounding "inane", GOOD GOSH, MAN!!! what were you thinking?!?!?!?!

    Sorry...couldn't resist...!

I'm not American, but I'll take the point... hehehehe.

They could add that to the Hall of Presidents if they ever restore it to the older version with the Constitutional Convention sequence.

"Sir, the people have a right to the furtherance of inane babble!"
"No, sir. I feel they do not."
"Well sir, you leave me no choice! This means secession!"
"Oh, for the love of God, sit DOWN South Carolina! Give it a rest for ONCE!"

I say we (us Americans ) start a petition to construct a monument to inane babble in Washinton D.C.!!!
No...? Wait...? Then again maybe not.....the politicians, not us "regular" folk, would all get top billing yet again...!

Isn't that role filled by the Capitol Building?

Of course, but only to a point...

Funny how things rapidly change huh?

    Got what you wished for.

They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.
