Just have to share this with the members: When my DW and I were meeting my DS' in-laws and other relatives this weekend, I happened to mention (well, OK I talk about Disney all the time) my love of all things Disney and my first trip to DL in 1955. Well, to make a long story short, my DDIL's paternal grandfather met Walt Disney at DL in 1955 and had a long conversation (about one hour; mostly about WW II) and several cigarettes with him, but also about Uncle Walt's plans for the future. To say the least I was mesmerized as he was telling the story. He said Uncle Walt was one of the most charming and gracious persons he has ever meet in his now 85 years and Uncle Walt had such charisma. There was nothing pretentious about him and he really wanted to know about the family and how they enjoyed the park, etc. Uncle Walt then rode with the family to the hotel and chatted for a few minutes more before returning to the park. Wow!!!
