Gurnee Mills - Huge indoor outlet mall. Right there is 6 flags and a indoor water park called Key Lime Cove all in Gurnee . North on 294 about 5 miles from Wisconsin border.

Is Six Flags open at that time of the year? Key Lime is sooo cool. I'd stay there though over driving from the Lake Front and back.

It's a shame Disney Quest went out.

It was just too expensive. For whatever reason people tend to loose their brains that God gave them when visiting Disney with the $$$ they spend.
If I remember correctly, it was like Dave & Busters low admission fee to get in and then you put so much money on a swipe card. Recharge card when money is gone. Changed later to a flat charge, now $42/per person.

My mom took my son and when grandma got home with the DS she was shaken by what she had spent.

Also if you are going out Schaumburg way there is another one about 15 minutes south of Schaumburg.
I believe that is Addison IL.
From Lake Front 290 to 355. Especially if it is rainy, a good place to spend a few hours.
