Hurricane Irene Areas Please Check In
If you were/are in the path of Irene please check in so we know you are doing ok!!
I'm lucky that I'm far enough away that all we are getting is some wind today. Looks like it could rain but they aren't calling for it.
I hope everyone is safe!!

Re: Hurricane Irene Areas Please Check In
Raleigh, NC= only hard rain, slight wind on saturday. Nothing severe at all
Nutley, NJ= man, did my family have fun. My basement got flooded, tree down across the street from my house, just about all other neighbors and other family members in the area had flooded basements. Power been going on/off all day. Major flooding on many main roads in town.
Must say, I'm pretty lucky I'm in central NC right now, it's beautiful out today.

Re: Hurricane Irene Areas Please Check In
except for still having no power, I am okay. no damage to our property.
my neighbors had a tree come down on their cars, can not see how
bad damage is. looks like the canopy of the tree came down on them, so
hopefully it is minor.

Re: Hurricane Irene Areas Please Check In
I'm pretty thankful it was much less severe than was predicted for my area. Hoping all is well with everyone else who was in Irene's path!!

Re: Hurricane Irene Areas Please Check In
Certain parts of Staten Island were under water and some lost power. Nothing at all where I live as far as extensive damage, power outages, or flooding.
Really, Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

Long Island, NY - Can't believe we never lost power. Flickered here and there though. Had a Maple tree go down on front lawn which also took out another small tree. But no damage to house or people. Glad it's over.

Re: Hurricane Irene Areas Please Check In
We did okay here in eastern Massachusetts. A lot of branches were down all over the yard, but everything can be moved by hand. No problems with electricity for us, but differs in the area.
We were on the Disney Dream from 8/21-8/25 (after 5 nights at BLT). We had no problems, but they were keeping a close eye on the storm. We felt very fortunate and had an awesome time.

Richlands, NC... some water damage to the floors, but we were lucky, the rest of the neighborhood had a lot more wind damage with trees on houses and cars.
