Wow, our teams ARE headed up there, they mobilized late Friday and waited for go orders.

That's what I was saying, our crews usually prepare to go where they are asked for help, just like the others come here when we have storms.

So, all the cities without should have help rolling in, hope they get it all put back right fast.

Ours do to. Yours must be clairvoyant because this storm wasn't even on the radar on Friday or Saturday. By night on Saturday it was a possibility of storms, Sunday it was hit or miss. Exactly what we got. Up North it was bright Sunshine as we crossed the boarder. An hour+ later a whole mess of ugly. Yet I don't believe there was a 1/4" of rain and some areas didn't get rain at all.

I just noticed there is very little of my Giant Pinwheel left. Stem and a few petals.

My BIL just got power back. 4 minutes from my MIL. Her power was out only 3 minutes. Neither have Comcast, so no computer, land line or TV. Prehistoric times over there.

We are fine. Amen.

It is a horrible mess around here, even in my little Hamlet but for what ever the reason it was far less intense in our square mile. Today the readings came out with 65mph to 100mph, the 100mph very close to our town. We were not home, so relief when we got home from Wisconsin.
There are huge trees down everywhere and with it the powerlines.

Our 200 mile area gets so many of those during summer that teams rotate for "On Call" so that someone is always ready to get where they need help. It just saves time for the areas that get hit really hard. But, the preparedness and the ability to "pack out" and leave does make it nice, since these usually hit in summer meaning folks are suffering.

We got hit hard last night, but only a few areas had outages, and those were resolved quickly, largely due to so many wind storms this season knocking most of the debris out ahead of time. Less flying, loose and decayed trees/limbs meant less damage-short of hurrican or tornado damage.

Closin' boreville tonight then headin' out to do more design.
More design work tomorrow morning/early afternoon, then to TDS for a 2-close and then, maybe, more design after that. Or, depending how far I get on it tonight and tomorrow, I may just wait 'til the next morning, since I again don't have to be anywhere else (TDS) until 2p...

So, is this the same house or a new one you are working on? Cause more design work is pretty awesome for you and the family.

And yes, i noticed you are near THE DAY. nice.

The weather guy here said it was the equivalent of a hurricane moving thru, but not one they could even forcast for. Out of nowhere a land hurricane.
