Ya it does seem she doesn't care for the kid. If the child has a speech issue, if the teacher is rude ask directly do you have an issue working with students with disabilities?
Glasses. My DD got her first pair of glasses in kindergarten. Optometrist.
2nd pair she got from Opthamologist a medical doctor. She could see with the second pair.
Try having her write with them on and then try and have her write with them off. Little kids usually can't articulate bad prescriptions back to big people.

Free entry to national parks Veterans Day weekend
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. – The National Park Service is waiving entrance fees at Yellowstone and more than 100 other national parks from Nov. 11-13 in honor of Veterans Day weekend. Other popular parks in the region that are taking part include Montana’s Glacier National Park and northwest Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park. The free entrance also applies to commercial tour entrance fees and transportation entrance fees.

I suppose I'll join in on the RT thread today.
Thinking I need to get my lazy self up and go hit the treadmill. Joined a soccer team and quickly found out my stamina is nowhere near what it used to be. Darn. Wish I would've never let myself lose it.
I agree with seeing an opthamologist if you really think her glasses could be an issue. I saw an optometrist, had issues with what he said, went to an opthamologist and got a new prescription and everything is good now. Same thing happened to my sister and she wasn't even seeing the same optometrist I was. My family doesn't schedule eye appts anymore unless its with an opthamologist. There so much more thorough in general "eye health" anyway. Just my two cents. Of course...Kay's eyes may not even be the issue for you.

The place doesn't matter as much as who is doing a pediatric exam.
You can check your health insurance, my insurance doesn't cover a
optometrist but does cover a pediatric opthamologist. I'd just play around and see if she writes clearer with or without them. Watch with them on and off how close her face gets to book, paper, etc. When I was trying to kinda get a feel for DD I did it while we colored together in a coloring book. We were just playing. Then we wrote words on the colored pages. She never knew I was observing her.
Between DD's vision issues and her speech issues she had somethings to overcome. Fortunately she had a long attention span. My DS at 5 years old had an attention span of a gnat.

I hope the Penn Board of Trustees just end it all today with retiring him before the end of the season. The football players do not need this hanging over them the rest of the season.
