Ack, Olympic Committee. Get the athletes out of the Chinese Opening Ceremony garments, take off the French berets, remove the funky and over-sized Ralph Lorenz logo on their chests.

At this point I'd rather see our athletes in the opening ceremony in T-shirts, baseball hats and a pair of jeans.
I so don't want opening ceremonies to be all about their wardrobe. Oy. Can you tell I have someone close to me participating the Olympics?

Yes, i can.
I loathe the outfits, they are ugly and boring. They look like communist china uniforms or bad flight attendant clothing.

Areas of Chicago is getting pounded with rain and is flooding some areas of expressways.

Us, Sun. We have had a 1/2 inch of rain in over a month.

Same here, it thunders, it gets dark, the rain doesn't fall.

We have a No Burn order in place.

We have a water restriction in place.

We are supposed to be conserving. and less than 1 inch since mid June according to weather man.

Considering we had that horrid storm Monday before last, surprising the total wasn't higher.

try listening to the new lead singer for Journey-OUCH. That was horrible, and on live telly.

And the kid made the Deans List again. Got the letter this week. One of the few times I enjoyed opening the mail box lately.

I didn't mind the electric bill this month, $140. Not too bad. But we do keep our house around 80 degrees. Friend with a simialr house has over $300. cause she likes her house COLD. 68 is where hers stays.

Average salary of principal $130,000.

Wow, what is the max income at those schools?

That would seem kind of highish for the programs.

I made burgers with homemade mushroom sauce and carmelized onions for supper. Got bakery style rolls to support the sauce and onions. YUM!
