I feel like my life has gotten way crazy this summer. Miss the days when summer meant no school and free time for 3 months. I feel like I haven't had much time to enjoy the season. Ah well, that's real life I guess.

It was heartbreaking....they were in 3rd about to cross the finish when they were nosed out by 2/10th of a second so took 4th.

My last day at my current job is August 17. I'm anxiously counting down because I can't take much more of my goofball coworker. Oy.

Have another interview, this time at Brookfield, in about a week and a half. I'm content with my current offer, so not sure what I'll choose if Brookfield likes me, but I figure I may as well interview and see what they have to say. They're interviewing me for Pachyderms, Australian House, and Seven Seas. The seas one is the only one I'd really consider, but I didn't want to sound picky or ungracious when they notified me.

i do not like to leave a messy area so i can come home to a clean house and yard.

makes me feel better, especially since that is the last few days before school starts and we have to finish getting the uniforms ironed and get the notebooks put together.

I nest before I go on vacation too. What is up with that anyhow?

I have no idea, Mom is Ireland now, as I said she refuses to fly and said the only way she would ever get on an airplane is to go to Ireland. To keep true to word, off to Ireland the family is.

Best friend left for grad school in Gainesville this morning. We've been inseparable since we were ten years old, so not easy to see her go. Was up early to go over to her house before she hit the road. Really not in the mood to be at work now. Yuck.

Sister is leaving for her CP on Sunday, so another tearful day ahead. Blah. She's been at the doctor three times since Saturday, so really, really praying she is healthy while she is down there.

Only upside to her leaving is that it means me and Nate's trip will be here soon. We are 17 days out right now.

Actually there was a bit of irony to that, the Sara(h)'s (hi Brian) nosed out the other USA pair to get that spot in the olympic trials. Best it happened in this order so they got to go to the olympics. They were by far the underdogs at the Olympic trails.

Ft Wayne Zoo offered me Fridays and Saturdays off for my internship there, which totally surprised me but I will gladly take. Will be strange though- living at our lake that will have emptied out for the season, all by myself. Kind of looking forward to that, but also know that I'll likely be creeped out at bedtime when I hear all the woodsy noises. I told my mom she had to let me bring the cat for some sort of company, lol. And it'll be a big adjustment having to go to the library when I want internet...my phone can never find a signal out there.

Can you at least get a dial up while you are out there. Land line and dial up would be around $20-25 a month. Might keep your sanity out there.

And yep, just to be IN the Olympics period, is one heck of an accomplishment, in and of itself.

And other best friend is moving to GA right after her wedding next month. Going to seem lonely here for me, guess that means I will have to start saving for some roadtrips.

Used to do lots of road trips back in the day. So much fun!
