This week I realized my DH is a hoarder of wood. I don't spend time in the garage, park car and leave. There is wood from 25 years of projects, fences, lattice, plywood, 2x4s etc., trims, more trims, oak, birch, maple, popular, you name it, every size, every scrap. We buy firewood why? Dear Lord there is more lumber in there than it took to construct the garage and it has wood siding. Even the freak'n rafters have wood, the scraps make the floor for other stuff up there like outside christmas decorations, storms, etc. Ai-yi-yi-yi!

Wow, I think it isn't safe to burn lumber like that-arsenic in the treating or some such. But that seems a lot of wood. At least he is able to do a project, repair a project or donate to a project.

Well whenever he has needed wood for something he has always been able to come up with something in a pinch. Now I know why. If mega opossum hadn't thrown it everywhere who would have ever known. Could be worse things to collect I guess.

Knocked down my DD's BF from college house this past week. Friend video taped her house being demolished.

Chicago Symphony on strike. Oy, that will hurt so many businesses around Orchestra Hall and all the services.
A new restaurant just opened in the Hall this week. It is empty tonight as is the parking garages.

That is where I went today, I made a pilgrimage with a friend and her brood of children. I laughed at Steve and nobody got my amusement. Explaining wouldn't have helped.
