I had their cheese fries last week, they were delicious, but needed salt and pepper.

I'm not a big fan of restaurant cheese fries. Is theirs real cheese or liquid cheese substance?

I like fries with melted cheese slices, scallions, and crumbled bacon atop. I broil it over the pre-cooked fries. Sometimes I buy the fries and then doctor them up.

Your area has a (seeming) lot of strikes. We don't have that much here. Last unon company, when they went on strike for better wages and more benefits at company expense, the company shut down, moved to Florida and hired people there. They were making 48 per hour, full benefits and wanted more and did not want to negotiate 5% of healthcare and 8% to retirement.


Some have not found jobs yet, one year later.

Seems the pats are getting their usual assistance from the refs. yep, I stopped watching NFL over the horrid officials. Talk about playing favs. They help the certain teams enough that the FBI should be checking bank accounts and travel records of some officials.

Cheese sauce, the sticky weird, restaurant kind that probably comes in a can , and sits in a warming dispenser. Tasty though.

Far more arsenic in the rice we are eating. Gag.

Yeah, and here I am gobbling up rice cakes and rice chex, like a LOT of them, and I eat a lot of rice. Not anymore.

It doesn't take that long to make homemade mashed taters.

That is where I went today, I made a pilgrimage with a friend and her brood of children. I laughed at Steve and nobody got my amusement. Explaining wouldn't have helped.

It is hard to compare regions. Salaries are not the sticking point lately more benefits. And that would be the Symphony sticking point. But an hourly wage differs so much from regions as does the cost of living. Homes and taxes are so much cheaper down south vs here. Here cheaper than East or West Coast. My property taxes in my tiny Hamlet are $6000. Go North to WI much cheaper. My Dad was a builder for the Sears tower, I would worry if they rolled in any old dude from the street to construct that puppy. Skilled labor is needed. In a heart beat any of his workers would have turned his tushie in if he dared to short-cut approved methods and the workers would have walked with Union support for safe practices. My childhood friend lost her Dad when the Arena was being built across from Ohare. They short-cut the roof trusses and the whole thing came down on the workers below. Just because labor is cheap doesn't mean they have a clue as to what they are doing.

Nothing irks me more than to order a cheese steak sandwich and find out they have pumped this icky substance over it and have the ordasity to call it cheese. Same goes for a cheese dog. I wish it was a rule that restaurants had to indicate if it was real cheese or cheese substance. And don't get me started on that brick they call Velveeta cheese.
