By noon, the "sick" children should have gone back to school. Thus the nap. The older one watched the younger one so it wasn't as if they weren't supervised.

How old are they now? Thinking they are all old enough to be unsupervised, in their own home, while The Mom is in the Building.

Good evening. Dd turned 23 at 1:25pm. After work we went to PF Changs for dinner, delicious they rought her a free birthday dessert. Then we went to the Verizon store no iPhone 4s & orders don't ship until dec. 9th So went to the Apple store & woo hoo upgrade ready & phone available one happy dd. makes for a happy momma.

Was at the Hurricanes game tonight...unfortunately, they lost. Been oh so busy with homework and what not lately...lack of sleep in getting to me. Thankfully semester is winding down.

It was weird when my DD turned into a teenager, weirder, real soon she will no longer be a teenager.

found out today I need rear calipers, rotors, etc. along with front wheel bearings and tie rods looks like big bucks

so with these things along with the fact I have no odometer, no gas gauge, no interior lights, a very noisy heater fan, and rear lights that come and go I need a new to me car

I'm so sorry. I need a new car too, I've just been pretending it isn't so. Waiting for the diagnosis tomorrow on the one we had towed this afternoon. We've done $1,100.00 in car repairs this month already. Ugh.

Hope you have luck finding a new to you. Around here the Police auctions are often a bargain.

My Dr Pepper is out of reach. Oh my.

repairs may be close to $1100, but on a 19 year old car....

Sounds like you'd be better off buying an $1100 year old car. We have bought two cars for the kids that they call the Dead Peoples Cars. Actually DH once flew into Allenstown to pick up the dead uncles car and drove it back. Some elderly people drove those cars precious little, yet old and in pretty good condition.

We paid $2,100.00 for DD's car. It was twelve years old, just less than
20,000 miles, everything but battery worked, no scratches, no rust or dents. A thought. You just have to look for cars elders are known to drive.

DD is still unnerved about the students shot and shot at across from her dorm area over the weekend. Now she sends me a text that their is a guy with a gun at the University of Iowa.

The car we bought last year, is 14 years old, works perfectly. Only one previous owner, who is an older gentleman. Definitely the way to go.
