DD's piano teacher has assigned "I Will Always Love You", "Cruella De Ville", "Japanese Temple". He is about to assign duets for Christmas recital.

Some moms here are on the SoS path. Save Our Schools, cause the ridiculous admin is trying to close the two middle school, magnet schools. Funny, since one of the is the number 5 school in the state for middle schools, and the other is in the top 25 or so.
These gals are organized, resourceful, and irked. Good for them, they got media attention, got the elected school members involved and the adult ed coordinator from the GED class (she has a doctorate in Educ.) and lots of parents. Meeting tonight at the school district office.
Good for them. They got a meeting fairly quickly.

Thanks for the link, Chris. I thought it was really interesting. And good to know that it has generated so many jobs.
It is funny how things in our daily lives remind us of our friends here. Happens to me all the time.

Howdydoo gang!
The last two days have been pretty awesome!
By happenstance, was off from both retail gigs yesterday. Got to sleep in a bit, and then worked on the La Quinta, CA. residence pretty much at my own pace during the afternoon/evenin'. Then, the whole famn damily finally got to go out to dinner together for the first time in quite a while.
Had my meeting with the partner this mornin' on the project and he loved what I had, so far. We made some of my suggested tweaks based on the reality of my actual to-scale iteration. Took a short break after the meeting and then went to work on those tweaks. Very happy with what I've got now. Pretty sure he will be too!![]()

I always like to look on the optimistic side of life, but I am realistic enough to know that life is a complex matter.

Sister got to go to Marty Sklar's presentation at Epcot today.
Here are the tidbits she texted me from it:
-the reason there is so much space between Future World and World Showcase is because there is a big sink hole by the Odyssey that they never figured out how to properly fill.
-Marty said, "I'm trying to get Epcot's old logo back instead of that stupid one they're using now!"
-He also said the old Journey into Imagination is never coming back, and we need to get over it, lol.
-He just saw the new American Adventure costumes today for the first time and is unsure how he feels about them.
Super, super happy for her that she got to go. She was sick last week, missed 5 days of work, and ended up being admitted into the hospital. Doing much better now and a fun way for her to enjoy her day finally out of the doctor's care.
