Just booked a resort stay at the Grand Floridian for a friend. Wowser.

I priced that once, just for laughs, ouch.

I have been on a hot chocolate kick. Been drinking it every night for over a week now. Delish.

I make it with cocoa, milk and sweetner-yum. Sometimes I make extra and drink it cold the next day. Super yum.

Good news: Miami Seaquarium sent me an email saying they want to interview me for and intern position next semester.
Bad news: They want me to fly out there for an interview that they told me would only last 15 minutes.

I am far too broke for that. Hoping we can maybe do it over the phone......?

Miami is dangerous, super expensive, dangerous and hard to live/afford/work in. i have a lot of customers here, who moved from there cause it is too dangerous.


Closed up the lake for the winter this weekend. Bummer. But we did get to spend yesterday at the Apple Festival that we have been going to every year since I was born. Yeah, I pigged out alllllll day long. Homemade country food, so so worth it.

Aw, summers end is harsh, but yeah for food you enjoy.

Disney plane tickets were booked this week. Hooray!

Yay!! that is so nice.

Still need to get room and dining plan booked, although I did already book all of our restaurants. And sister got approved for the whole week off- that was a great surprise that I didn't think would happen. I really, really want to do MVMCP, but not sure if it is in the budget. I told my mom I'd rather do that than have a bunch of Christmas presents, so I think she will try to make it happen.

Maybe that will work out.

My brother in law just got a new computer and will be giving me his old iMac. It will be good to have a big screen computer again!

Good Morning. I have the WDW Opening ceremony in my noodle today. Cause it is cool outside, like a spring morning at WDW.

We gave a man who begged for a job, a job, and he didn;t show up and won't answer his phone.

Hate being used like that. And IF he shows up, he will get a straight earful.

Just got back from another followup meeting regarding the La Quinta, Ca. home I'm workin' on for my old firm. The partner loved it and needs me to get him presentation preliminaries for the clients by early next week. No problem.

Now, for the REAL news...
As we were wrappin' up our meeting, he asked what I could do about my other jobs schedules so they could give me more work...!!!!!!! (REALLY wish we had a back flip smilie! )
And, they really want me to work out of the office, when I can!
I SOOOOOOO flippin' excited, I can't even see straight, right now!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I know Miami is not a good area to be in, but I figured I'd apply to all options available, and it is actually paid there. I'm sure neither of my parents would be thrilled at all if I ended up there though. Doesn't matter anyway now, the lady emailed me back today and said they will not do phone interviews. I think it is really odd, all the other places I've applied to do phone interviews. I just can't justify paying for roundtrip airfare and transportation to/from the Seaquarium for an interview that she told me would be only 15 minutes.

Thanks again, as always, Chris! You've always been so supportive about everything, and we can't thank you enough!
And yes, Mrs. Mickey is VERY excited...!
It will still be part-time contract, but they want me to work out of the office a lot more often so we can be closer for more immediate consultation/feedback.
Also, it looks like I'm gonna' be able to just flat-out dump the bs gig, but I'll have to still talk with the SM at TDS to see what can be worked out schedule-wise, but should be able to work somethin' out.
