Now I am writing a blog post for the band about comparing song lyrics to the situation the band is in now.. there is a lot of fighting, disrespect and no focus. So far I have two song lyrics and they are from songs probably no one has heard of =/
Unfortunately it isn't a lot different in any area of high school. 15-18 year olds, too many levels of maturity in that span of age. Even when you look at each individual age, the maturity levels varies so much. We saw the same thing on their swim teams, all over the place on what it meant to be a team. About the only time we saw unity was when they were singing we are the champions,then shortly after they were fighting over bus seats. Oy. I didn't miss high school and neither did my kids.
Some people are like Slinkies.
They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.
Friends are Gods way of apologizing to us for our families.
