Evening all! Arrived at the in-laws late last night. Spent the day taking care of funeral stuff. Family and friends will start arriving this evening and tomorrow. The funeral is Sunday and the burial is Monday. Here's the obituary if anyone is interested:

Was at Olive Garden this evening. I am always impressed with little kids that know how to behave in restaurants, I credit the parents for teaching them boundaries. The 4 kids behind my chair, emm were not obviously taught that chairs were to sit in while in a restaurant.

Then the man in the booth in front of me...back to the wall, sitting sideways, knees up, feet on bench. Men, thou shalt not sit like that in general in a restaurant, but especially when wearing basketball shorts, the view isn't meal pleasant.

Good Grief, don't you just hate the total obliviousness of some people? I cannot stand out of control kids in a restaurant, That is a high pet peeve. If we are spending out time and money to have a meal out, I do NOT want to be clunked by someone else's kids, or hear the screaming, yelling, crying while the parents sit by ignoring it.

And that feet on the bench deal? Yea, women should also be aware of how short their skirts are when seated, and cross the legs at the ankles, not flap them off to either side like a trucker.

I live about 357 miles from WDW, according to MapQuest. It takes me 6 hours to drive it. That is with 2 stops, one just past Tallahassee and one in Wildwood.

Amen to that. EO is just painful to watch. I won't be stepping back in that theatre until it is long gone.



Oy, the things people do. But, Olive Garden is delish...one of my favorite places.



Speaking of gelatinous goo, I have become very well acquainted with it lately....our dolphins and pinnipeds eat it daily, so I have become quite the pro at jello making in mass quantities.

Hope it leaves your brain soon though, as that is not where it belongs, lol.

I loathe Captain Eo, saw it within a week of opening at DL, was there on a Fam Trip (familiariazation tour) when I was a travel agent. Hated it, but them I have never been a fan of that performer, ever.

Your job is one of the top 5 in coolest jobs ever. Our friends GBI daughter has a cool job, she got to go to a car wreck scene, then a scene at the airport. She has been to several fatal car crashes, I am waiting to see posts about CSI/Criminal Minds style deaths.

My "kid" is a Marine and has done sniper duty, that is pretty cool.

So, working with dolphins and interesting sea life ranks up there. Dolphins are amazing. Sea lions, penguins, so, so adorable.

My husband's grandfather passed away today.....so as much as I want to be on and posting right now forgive me if I disappear for a few days.

Sorry for your families loss. I read the obit link, he sounds like an amazing, amazing man. Prayers fro Peace thru this time.

Unfortunately it isn't a lot different in any area of high school. 15-18 year olds, too many levels of maturity in that span of age. Even when you look at each individual age, the maturity levels varies so much. We saw the same thing on their swim teams, all over the place on what it meant to be a team. About the only time we saw unity was when they were singing we are the champions,then shortly after they were fighting over bus seats. Oy. I didn't miss high school and neither did my kids.

I loathed high school. Backbiting, fighting, bickering over boys/girls, who gets to be queen, who isn't worth nominating, BLEH, get the education and move on./
