Hmmm....thinking Princess Leia could bring a whole new dress code to WDW.

We could always hope. It was somewhat appalling to watch a lady strolling around DHS in just her bra, her shirt was down around her waist. Yikes.

School board meeting Monday, they apporved a $90,000 special ed position at the central office (Bach degree only), and want to build a first rate sports facility at one high school, but several schools have students sharing textbooks, and no money for new ones. They have to do all of their work in class-cause there is only one set of books.

How do boards decide to hire for an unnecessary position, and a sports complex for one school while the classrooms don't have books, and the other high school has a leaking, moldy not so safe sports building?

They said it was different pots of money-but WTH???

Sorry been to busy catching up with other friends on FB
and having no "real" power (running on a generator) and no
no cable internet, it was a trying day.

no major damage to house or yard. several trees down around
neighborhood. some houses lost shingles and fences, my brothers
neighborhood lost seawalls and had a foot of sand on the road closest
to the water so he, DSIL, and nephews are camping out here

have no idea when we will get services back, so I will try to
keep youze guyz updated when I can

The Grand Canyon is awesome... I'd love to go one day.

When I went, I stood at the edge and wondered what the pioneers and settlers thought when they got to the top of the mountain, and realized they had a much larger problem. It is gorgeous, the sun makes all of the colors just stunning, and warm evening sun nearer sunset makes it glow in a weird, way-like with the orange/red moon. Truly an awesome place, but not tons to do there and you can only stare at the gap for so long.

Anyone want to design a new theme park for WDW?!... It could have lands such as Pixarland, Marvel-land, Starwarsland etc!

That would be fun, and if they do it right, maybe that Villains Park, could be made into reality using all of the bad guys-fun coasters, scary towers with drops or swings.

Oh my, the park hours for this week and next have been greatly extended with MK sometimes opening at 7am right through to 1am without EMHs

I just hope it's the same next year at this time when we are there - That'd be fantastic!

I think in my planning, I'll 'roughly' plan my days around the park hours and EMHs of this year!
