Some of our workers were actually turned back, and went on to two other locations before helping in New York for one crew and Penn for the other crew. The pre runner crews had a smoother time. And one team got back this afternoon. Although, several more crews are waiting to see if their help is needed before they head up after this deal.
I trust the Alabama CEO's are not lying to the NY times when they debunked the tale today that went viral on twitter yesterday. It wasn't only Alabama workers that were redistributed to other areas other than NJ. NY was hard hit and is desperate for crews and Many states have workers that were shifted to NY instead of NJ without complaining. There are also twitter stories of how some of the retreating workers saw how bad it was and instead of going to NY opted to go home.

Right now the CEO's are doing damage control. Alabama CEO's remember crews from the North coming down to help with the Alabama University tornado disaster and don't want these Northern State power companies to hold a grudge when Alabama needs help again. Sometimes these workers need to think before they draw attention to themselves instead of the natural disaster that is before them.

It is a hard call. So much money has been invested and it will now be an additional debt to the city instead of a surge of money they will need. Flip side, I don't know how they would have pulled it off, transportation alone is a nightmare without bringing in more people worldwide. There just wasn't a good choice either way on this one.

I was looking at more pictures of Staten Island today. Horrid. I'm seeing reports and photo's from NY, NJ, very little from the other states being covered by media here. Prayers for them too.

They were not honest, they got caught and now they must pay.

Yeah, neither basketball or football went well for UoI last year and football this year, well we're not going to talk about that. Oy. Hopefully basketball will go better this year than football. Hard to try and convience 18 year old high school students to come to the corn and soybean fields of Central IL when there are much warmer places for the talented to play ball in college.

Took an hour and a half. About what we expected.
Oy I have seen that happen a lot.

My DD started Spanish when she was 5 too. Continued until her Junior year of high school, when she had enough credits not to have deal with a foreign language in college. Amen.
