It is technically a tam. I had the choice of 4, 6, or 8 point. Hubby wanted me to get the 8 point because it was time for me to STOP working on this thing! It is just the difference in getting an advanced degree - to set apart from the mortar board of "lesser" degrees. BECAUSE WE EARN IT! Just kidding.
