Morning all! Waiting on the Magical Express bus to take us to the airport :-( Had a great vacation, will start my TR once I get my laptop charged which will require a trip to buy a new cord. May not happen till tomorrow, we'll see how tired I am when I get home.

Sorry you are coming home. That DME wait is always bittersweet.

They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

My DD is right there with ya. She is waiting to take another final at 11. Thinking she will only have two during the actual final stretch.

I can't handle half the kids into class. They think that they're options are right and when you try to express yours they say you are worng and they also think they are always right. Then get mad at you when you try to correct them.

Well they are not odd, the people I know are odd.

Like Cheers, everyone knows my name. The very reason my DD wanted to loose herself in a Mega Big University.

But we have a festival, fling or something just about every month, some months a couple. But yes, our Grand Poobah's of our little Hamlet are a bit eccentric and tempt residents to chock the living......out of them at times.

Well if you like it there then that's all that's needed to be said.

As a teacher, not much is SO IMPORTANT that a kid can't miss for a family vacation. Yes- I might have to teach one-on-one with some concepts to get them caught up (I think that is where some teachers fall short). But if I am a true teacher, then I shouldn't care- it is about family and family is a lot more important than a few chapters of the book I am teaching.

However, if this is a student who is struggling or already has a lot of absences then I can see this being a different situation. Overall, I think school can be missed a bit.

Okay- getting back to work. I need to determine some ideas for next semester. I also need to get things off of my "to-do" list!
