Two New Jersey men have sued the sandwich chain Subway, claiming the world’s biggest fast-food chain has been cheating them on its ‘footlong’ sandwiches.The lawyer for the two men said the company should either ensure their sandwiches are 12 inches long or stop advertising them as footlongs.

Lawyer Stephen DeNittis said he’s measured sandwiches from 17 area shops and not one has been 12 inches long.

“The sandwiches are about an inch shorter than they should be. It’s about 45 cents per sandwich that people are being short-changed.

I get it the fraud part, not the suing part. It isn't like they also make 13" sandwiches. If they use an inch less dough per sandwich, that is a savings annually. The rest is a smaller savings, in condiments, lettuce, olives, onion etc. The cheese and meat are set portions, other stuff they distribute over the whole sandwich.

I guess it was a social thing over the last week people posting their 11" sandwiches on Subways facebook. Appears 11" it is the standard size, not 12". Solution, Small, Large.

There was some statement made like "why does it matter now?" Well- I will tell you- someone lied, changed facts and put it out there for DAYS that it was truth. IT WAS A LIE and the government should not lie to the people (OR does that just apply to Nixon). It matters because if you won't protect diplomats without lying, why should I believe you would protect me or that your saying you will protect me isn't a lie.

End of my political ranting. I know this isn't the place and I don't normally. I must admit I enjoy watching any politician squirm- no matter which political party they are a part.

I'm sure this was mostly done by the CM's that water paint and let the kid have a little fun following a chalk line and made for a nice photo op. The CMs paint freestyle but they will draw a little bit lightly with chalk to give some magic to young guests.

I took a big step backwards on this one when it became about each party trying to slam the other side. I find it kinda ridiculous when we rip each other apart, blame our political parties for what complete nut job terrorists do. Misplaced anger and frustration. Still seeing it with the CT school shooting and I find the whole process of the right vs left pummelling each other a useless exercise of political thwarting. Worse the terrorists are getting their jollies off watch us accuse one-another instead of them. Sometimes our leaders are none to bright.
