And it has finally started to happen. Snow. Tomorrow will be January 24th and I will actually have to remove snow.
Not amused, not amused at all.

I went to the drawing academy at the Studios last trip and attempted to draw a Mickey head. Let's just say I had difficulty drawing circles.

We have a friend that works in the broadcast world. He traveled quite a bit and more by the time his second child was well into elementary school. With DD being onboard she was homeschooled. They bought annually one of the best online homeschool programs.
She was schooled by computer year round yet when they went off to all these wonderful places around the world she could take a few weeks off here and there or as she aged she just took her laptop with her and did what she needed to do during downtime. Got easier as WiFi became better. During highschool she took her major science classes during summer school as those were classes that are difficult to duplicate at home. She got into a real good University, her ACT and SATs scores were high. It is amazing home much time in school is really not essential.
On the flipside my son had a friend in middle school when his mother pulled 4 of 5 boys out of school to homeschool them. It was a big thing to do in this mega church in N. IL. The 5th was already in HS and he was allowed to finish. The Mom was a whack job to start with and I don't believe the youngest two could read, write or spell let alone do math. The other two had some foundation already from school but basically their education ended when she started homeschooling her kids 'cause it didn't really ever happen. The boy that was my sons age has been backing packing around and doing mission work around the world. Beyond that I'm not sure what he will do with his 7th grade education.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Disney changed suppliers. These were made by Blue Bunny in the Midwest. They were widespread in the 80's and 90's and were even sold on ice cream trucks around the country. They not only tasted great but only the ears were encased in Chocolate Dip so you could eat them in the summer without turning into a big mess and the bottom half was more vanilla. Up until around 4-5 years ago they were still sold in Walmart's with Supermarkets. Now it seems they are doing more Six Flag type characters. *sniff*
Maybe this weekend I'll start a thread on Lost Disney Foods. Some great things are gone.
