UCF is an awesome school for hospitality, considering where they are located. And if you cant get it all from Disney, you can look into SeaWorld or Universal.

I know it sounds like heresy...... but one year at Universal made me a stronger CM. You can see different practices too, so it would be good for you to see how every place does it, not just disney

In June, I visited UCG and fall in love with the campus (Rosens campus at least), did not fall in love with the fact that it is not really freshmen friendly, the class that I have to take that are not just hospitality class are not offered there so I would have to go to the main campus 45 minutes away (same with band) and the price tag.

Never thought of that.

I have never been to Seaworld but I went to Universal in 2011 and did not find their staff helpful or nice. Some of the park staff where rude and rather talk about weekend plans and stuff when we were waiting for them to check us out at a store... We were standing there with out stuff on the counter for 10 minutes before they notice us and we were trying to get there attention.

I may see if I can get a summer job at Ceder Point and live with a friend up there (its two hours away from my house).

Right now I am trying to find a place to do my senior intership but I am doing it for Event Planning (I am double majoring) and it is impossible (same with hospitality).I kind of wish I was a year younger because the Hard Rock company has bought a horse track that is 2 minutes away from my house and they are making it a Casino, horse track, adding a hotel and a restaurant that is suppose to open in the fall (but if you drive past...I am pretty sure it is not going to happen)..anyways it would be amazing to do my senior internship there

It should be mandatory that all companies who have websites have a page (with an obvious link) for employment for that company. Even if they don't have any openings they should have a page someone can find and return to occasionally to see if any openings are posted.

Yeah....unfortunately Universal is rough around the edges....thats why IOA won best theme park ONE time and then wasnt even ranked afterwards. Most of the employees there are partiers, so it just makes it hard to work around it. I hear it got worse after the Harry Potter opening, I wasnt there for that. When i was there it wasnt so bad.

I love SeaWorld, being around the sea life makes me happy. Plus they have nice shows and rides there too.

Oh gosh back in December on my flight down to Florida there was a guy who ringtone was that... It went off right when we were loading then again during take off... It was the worst. Then he was on my flight home also but his phone did not go off then

I honestly can say i agree with your parents. Get solid in school first. Ive seen many a CP drop out of college to do disney full time, then after a year get burned out and wind up fired, working at Universal.

Speaking of which.....Disney should have put in an Ireland in the World Showcase......instead of making it part of the UK...... If they want authenticity, then they can have a North Ireland as part of the UK and then the real Ireland as its own entity.

That is what I heard also... I am not a huge partier.... the biggest parties I attend is band nerd parties after competitions and those are pretty much us sitting listening to music and drinking mountain dew slushies

Before I got my Iphone my mom's ringtone was "Welcome Foolish Mortals" and my dad's was "This is the Wildest Ride"


Now that I have my Iphone my text tone and ringtone is Chewbecca

I would have a Disney thing for my ringtone, if it was not for the music from SAW being so good.

I also have all of the Disney ship horn tones on my phone that way I can switch it up when the mood strikes me.
