Actually I wish I had students who were half as interested in "winning" as that horse was. Or saw their potential and pushed themselves half as much as this horse.

He wasn't a citizen. Now she works less and his "friends" are filling the shifts. Hubby and Wife nice enough, his "friends" have yet to learn proper customer service or common courtesy. She has owned that 7/11 forever and at this rate he and his buds will tank it if they do not learn manners.

Some of them. By the time they come to us- we have them about 2 years. I will be teaching an introductory course next fall that will really give me people from the beginning and ending of their two years. (well some take more)

I wonder if anyone ever encouraged them early on or set expectations. We talked a customer into going for her GED and a technical degree-no one had ever told her she could be more then a convenient mart clerk. We kept telling her she needed to do it for her kids-to show them there was more available.
Just a curiousity thing for me.
Cool, continuity should help.
