And I just saw that my paycheck from Disney has finally been direct deposited (only took 29 days ). Surprise money is always a plus...time to go put it in my gas tank.

Wow, that was a long time and yes, likely it will just cover gas.

I think I may have seen it working only once. On my trip down this January, Nate and I noticed that the audio had definitely been fixed. Sounded a million times better. Jumping water was still off (grr..that is my fav part) and we saw 2 or 3 animatronics that were not moving..none of the major ones, I think they were all some of the little critters. Hope it is repaired soon, Splash is my favorite attraction at MK.
Last week the Zippity Doo Dah boat at the end was not working. The boat was rocking back and forth, that was it. It was dark and the animatronics were not working at all. That has to be so disappointing.

    Great, money is always good.

That is a lot of family pressure on a young couple. Further family pressure on the timeline of when he promised he would wait until. Maybe if his family backed off this wouldn't be happening at this time.

While I have my own opinions that I shared with my children when they were growing up, they are adults and I've never intruded into their "personal decisions" when they are over 18. Mainly because I would have hated my then boyfriends family daring to talk to me about that or my own family.
He has talked to all of us individually and asked for an honest opinion. I told him to NOT committ, to stay in school and see how they feel in 3 years or so after they both finish their degrees. I try to stay out of the [I]other[I] part of that discussion as that is none of my concern. But I see disaster looming. I do not understand how he told her in front of his family that the engagement would be two years PERIOD-no exceptions, but last night told his parents that they WOULD be getting married in September.

Makes no sense either way, she admits they stopped worrying over the purity part since it was old fashioned and out dated, so I don't know WHY they are in a rush.

I think of a few of my first cell phones. One looked like a TV remote it was so long. It had a pull up antenna too. Next one had this rubber nub sticking out an inch or so.

That sounds great, except the peppers. Quiznos in this are is offering a sandwich like that. But they are on the high, crowded side of town so I never go there.
I don't think we have any Quiznos left around here. So much more expensive than Subway or Jimmy Johns.

Do you think all that water and chlorine splashing on them each day has a part to play in that? That is all I can think of would make a difference.

I hope it's a good one as well. He seems like a sweet guy. We've been talking a lot! He lives in Reston, VA.. which is about an hour from me. It's not in the vicinity but it is closer!

The school play is taking up so much of my time. I'm so tired when I come home, I have no desire to really do anything. I haven't really been posting on Facebook or Twitter either this past week.

To be a "good" boy he has to get married because of the "promise." All of the promises this kid has made, oh my. I'd get on a train and move to the west coast, far, far away and break that cycle of an overly involved family. My heart breaks for him.
LOL, his mom's family has always been in each other business like that, comes all the way from the great grandmother. But he made his promise at the start of junior year, to his youth pastor, he just mentioned it to his mom after a friend of his had a preggers scare.

None of us have pressured him-kids will be kids-but he did have a lot of peer pressure to take the pledge and while he has violated it, I strongly suspect this gal is putting ALL of the pressure. He has always been close with his family and suddenly, she wants him over at her families, or her friends, NOT with his family at all, ever, and she is quite rude when she is at a family function.

I just feel bad that he is stuck between a string granny, a really strong mom, and the strumpet he is marrying. It is a hard path to walk.
