It is DH's sister, and going back for generations, they have always been close and in each other business and it is just the way they are. The gal is the one dividing things-in a bad way-which is never good, as this family is super good to you when you even TRY to be nice, but they can ice you out if you make a tail of yourself,.

My biggest hurdle in joining this family was getting used to daily phone calls from granny asking how and what we were doing. And then from the MIL, same thing. But they do it cause they love, not cause of any nefarious thing. It is just the way they are-wanting to feel connected. The calls have stopped, cause they see us most days, but it was hard for me since I am from the family that talks once a year for 15 minutes and that is it.

Oh we have to get you into a public school system. Our Middle School stipend is $7000.00 for the spring musical.

My DD has them in college courses. They all had to buy a hand held device. They participate in class with them silently, instructor gets feed back on how they are understanding material and if they are engaged in the class. Also in the class of 300+ they know who actually came to class.I googled them. Cool tech.
