How are the kinder kiddies doin' with it, so far?

My kids aren't in the play. Its for 4th grade up to 12th. I do have two students in it as the 'fellow candlesticks!'

Yep. That would make it even WAYYYYY more fun...!!!

It is a lot of planning, costumes, rehearsals, sets. That is why our district pays them as they do coaches.

It's Every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and then Saturdays. Usually 2-4 hrs. Its long and exhausting. I could get paid for it and I just don't know. I don't really are though.

Yep, I know from all the years both DD's were in choir/theater arts (MS and HS). A LOT of work it is indeed.

I'm glad you have a job in this economy. I hope you can go to a public school where you are compensated better for what you actually do. It is hard work.

Part of me wants to go to a public school to get paid more, but I don't want to have to deal with all the politics. I really love where I am right now. The money is just a small downside to everything else.

The one little boy will definitely be in theatre when he grows up. He is dramatic right now and I think it will be a good release for him.

And when you live on your own the money will be a big downside unfortunately. So many other ways to divide that paycheck up.

Oh I know that, I just don't have a HUGE desire to move out at the moment. If I do, I wouldn't be able to go on vacations like I am right now. I have another teacher at the school wh o wants to split an apartment, but with the car payment I can't do that. I would be so tight with all my bills. I'm okay with staying at home. Maybe in a few years when the economy's a little better, I might apply to the public schools.

i hate how they're releasing clips of the Super Bowl Commercials early. Sorta frustrating me. I want to be surprised not want clips!

If only the poor little bugs knew how much power they had over folks.
Then again, it's probably best they don't have access to that kinda' knowledge...

Funny about hubby's family, although not so much for you, maybe.
My MIL can be a bit Marie-ish, but she now lives further down the road. My mother not as much, thankfully, 'cause they live less than a mile away.
But, we sometimes don't see them for a week or more.
