Wow, it is really coming down out there. Glad I am inside. Though, we need to leave the house to go out to dinner...

February is our hottest month, and it looks like tomorrow is going to be cold, and wet. The bride was worried it was going to 40 degrees Celsius! She doesn't have to worry about that...

I worried about wet. Never figured mega heat. My hair was to be down, my Sis stuck my head in bathroom sink just before family pictures, prior to church. She just made a management decision and yanked my hair into an updo. Funny now. During the after-meal hours, open bar, my Dad and Sis were dancing atop a table. I missed that. Looking at photo's a month later was enlightening as to how much fun peeps had at the proper wedding.

I love chocolate, and I love bacon...so it seems natural...but my brain is telling me that it will probably be vile.

Have you ever experienced crispy bacon dipped in candy chocolate?

Queensland and the Northern Territory are like that. Monsoons and all that. My state is more like Texas, for weather (from what I can gather).

We cancelled our reservations at Outback Jack's Steakhouse, and decided to have dinner at home. We didn't feel like heading out in the rain. Instead we had a home made creamy chicken pasta bake with a crunchy noodle salad.

Everyone noticed you were gone all week and stopped coming.

One of my Dads childhood friends wake will be tomorrow. I always remember him being around. Glad I saw him this year while he was still doing well. He was a Chicago Fireman.

Jack-In-The-Box (fast food burgers) is now offering Chocolate-Bacon Shakes.

I'd like a sample.

Uh, not too sure about that. Course, we have no Jack-In-The-Box.

The Target that is closest to us just put a Starbucks in there to replace their food/snack area which didn't do much business. I wonder how it will do? That Target is not exactly in the Starbucks kinda area.

Our Target has Starbucks and it was the only one in town for a long time, Barnes and Noble opened half a block down, and now we have two. Target Starbucks does not allow tipping. And the employees wear Target shirts.

It was an Elder Care kinda day. Still punchy.

Is that a chain ressie? Cause we have Outback Steakhouse, probably not the same thing. Ours sells the only really good filet in town.

Same here, except we are to be at 28 Saturday night, and THAT is not fun. Cold weather is not my fav.

I am really tired of the local commercials that are SO annoying.

A major candy maker CEO, family business passed away this week. Sadness, 93, but one of the good people on earth. He even helped out competitors when they fell on hard times so they could stay in business.

He invented the Lemon Heads, Atomic Fireballs, Baked Beans, and JawBusters.

ATMOIC FIREBALLS!!! I loved them! They were always on the bottom shelf in the store and I think 3-5 cents.

A friend gave me the idea of ordering a half shamrock and half chocolate shake from McDonald's. I think I am going to try it this weekend since I loooooove the chocolate/mint flavor combination.

Mother Nature owed us a milder one after the last few Winters! Of course, I don't know what July and August are going to feel like yet....
