I like to cook. Don't have time and I don't like to have to come up with the idea all the time and I don't like to come home at 6 p.m. and have to cook. I can bake and make candy also

I agree with the more water part. And I like potatoes but can't handle bananas at all.

A liqueur store refused to sell a bottle of liquor to a 92 year old lady because she could not produce a photo ID to verify her age.

You know- I can see the liquor store side of this. With the quality of costuming opportunities and some of the ways someone can age another, I can see why they didn't. I mean sure- she may look 92 and she may act 92 but what if she is a 18 year old with GREAT makeup and acting talent?

Hubby has the modem connect sounds as a ringtone on his phone. He downloads free ones at phonezoo.


me either, but DD gets them and i am usually left stunned at how fast, and how she even gets the subtext. Boggles my brain.

I usually get commercials and I actually don't remember what commercial it was that I didn't get!

I wish I had had time today. The day was fairly productive but I need about a week or two to get more stuff taken care of.

I have real mixed emotions about cell phones. They keep me in contact with my kids when need be, obvious emergency but I kinda liked doing things, walk, dinner out and you name it without being pulled away from the moment.

We had a talk about this at work. It is actually being more of a problem. THey think they can listen and text and all but they aren't getting it. Really thinking of making our "rules" tougher so that they can focus.

Actually had to tell my students to stop staring at their screens and to look up at the book I was reading to them.

My DH went to sleep last night, dog went with him. An hour later my turn but D-Dog was completely in my spot, head on pillow.

Not sure why I didn't think about the fact it is my family's turn for Thanksgiving. And yet hubby decided we would go to his family's AGAIN. Like the extended family so I don't have to deal with my inlaws.

Never understood- when someone didn't know how to spell a word- why teachers say to look up words in the dictionary. If I knew how to spell it to begin with I wouldn't need the dictionary.

I instruct my students to at least give the first three letters.

When I worked full time, traveled and had small kids like you I learned a few things that really helped. I bought 2 rotisserie chickens from Sam's (you'd need 3 or 4). I took all the meat off and froze them in around one #packages. I bought the 5# pack of ground meat and fried the whole thing, then froze in 1# bags. I also bought from Sam's the large shrunk wrapped eye of round roast. I cooked one half for slicing and nice family dinner the other half I sliced into small bite sized pieces and froze in 1# bags. (granted I didn't do that all on the same day). It was real easy to make meals from good meat that was already prep'd. Ground meat was quick for spaghetti, sloppy joes, taco's etc. Chicken good for fajitas, Chicken'n stuffing, Alfredo etc. Sliced bite sized roast was good for stir fry, excellent Mongolian beef, stew and goulash. Also when I made meatloaf, I made 2 at the same time and froze one.

I could have dinner on the table in 10-20 minute.
