[QUOTE=HauntedGabe;981913]I take the 5 lb thing a step further. I cook it and then make spaghetti sauce, taco meat, and chili out of it (that would take 15 lbs). Then I freeze that. Takes even less time. And I do the regular hamburger also. When I worked full time, traveled and had small kids like you I learned a few things that really helped. I bought 2 rotisserie chickens from Sam's (you'd need 3 or 4). I took all the meat off and froze them in around one #packages. I bought the 5# pack of ground meat and fried the whole thing, then froze in 1# bags. I also bought from Sam's the large shrunk wrapped eye of round roast. I cooked one half for slicing and nice family dinner the other half I sliced into small bite sized pieces and froze in 1# bags. (granted I didn't do that all on the same day). It was real easy to make meals from good meat that was already prep'd. Ground meat was quick for spaghetti, sloppy joes, taco's etc. Chicken good for fajitas, Chicken'n stuffing, Alfredo etc. Sliced bite sized roast was good for stir fry, excellent Mongolian beef, stew and goulash. Also when I made meatloaf, I made 2 at the same time and froze one.
I could have dinner on the table in 10-20 minute.
But lately, I have been too busy for even that! I have chili and spaghetti in the freezer right now.
Some people are like Slinkies.
They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

A hippo can open its mouth wide enough to fit a 4 foot tall child inside.
A giraffe can go without water longer than a camel can.
A giraffe can also clean its own ears with its tongue.
Our zoo has a bridge over the giraffes. You can feed the giraffes. It is pretty cool. Those tongues are gross.
My Dad was great for that instruction. I was part of that experimental age where I was not taught phonics. Sorry peeps, hard to sound out when you were never taught. We learned to read from rhyming, similar words, cat, hat, bat and memorization. My sis was fortunate they knocked that off by the time she hit first grade. I can't spell worth a darn. Spell check is a blessing from heaven for me.
