I am in the strangest mood. I want to be up and moving.. but I also want to be asleep right now.

One of my co-workers that teaches science was told that she couldn't teach science because she's a woman. She should be teaching Kindergarten not science. Women aren't as smart, the man said. How degrading.

Very degrading. Some of my favorite K-12 teachers were the science ones, several of which were female.

I remember when I was earning my first degree, I ran into a few of my K-12 teachers. When they learned I was majoring in the sciences, they kept trying to "recruit" and/or "convince" me to seriously consider teaching science. I politely told them I was not interested.

I love dancing sometimes. Once my students are out of the classroom, I'll put on the music and sing it as loudly as I can (without distracting other classes) and dance!

It is cloudy and rainy looking, and it feels sticky out there, but we had a 65 degree overnight temp. It was 80 yesterday, 80. YES!!! to warm temps finally.

I still need to walk dog and shovel. We lucked out. Some areas got hit hard with very heavy snow and others only a few inches. Fortunately we are in the few inches category.

Yep, so are we. Happy about that, but it is still freezing out.

It is supposed to get up to 70 today.. but with no sun.. I don't think it is going to.. I think it will be quite chilly.

There is also a business double standard. When hubby calls a company manager to ask for better service, he is being a businessman, when I call to ask for better service, I am considered to be "being pms-y, or B****y.

Yep, I remember my Dad when I was a young girl saying women shouldn't be in business, they are not cut out for it, they are too B****y, this a father of 2 girls. Yet he wanted us educated. My sister and I took that into account. We both after college went into the business world.

Recess... I love Recess. Kids get to play with the kitchen today... They're super excited about that.

Looking at my alma matter apparel. Makes me miss the school. Can't believe it's been 3 yrs already since I've graduated.

Rev. Brooks of Chicago was sick of the drugs and guns in areas of Chicago streets. One abandoned hotel has been a den for drugs and drug dealers. His dream was to knock it down and build a community building as an alternative place for local residents to hang and have some out-reach. Yet could not find financial support for this mission. So on November 22 he climbed up on the roof of the motel with a a tent and and made a vow not to come down until he raised the $450,000.00 needed.

A Christian businessman today made an anonymous $85,000 today that put motel within about $90,000.00 of getting the Rev off the roof. Tyler Perry, promoting his movie being released today, heard, asked the news team which has been constantly following the roof top story, if the news team had vetted the project. The news team confirmed. 'Heck if you've vetted it, I'll give him the $98,000.00 (which actually will put the motel project $13,000 over targeted amount).

Rev. will come down around 6pm so all his supporters since Nov 22 can join him in the celebration.

The sound True Colors comes to mind as I think of both Bieber and Adele this week and their very public hand gestures, Bieber at Disneyland and Adele at the Brit Awards.
