When we bought this house we didn't have kids. High achieving School districts and a financially solvent towns were high on our list of things we looked for along with zoning. We looked for an area free of townhomes and apartments for the most part. Made the town less transient.

And my husband, he wanted a detached garage that was as big as the house. And a basement.

We looked carefully, but I refused to move to the back of beyond. i HAVE to have city noise and city lights, or I cannot function. It comes from living on active military bases all my life, I need the comfort of the noise and police proximity. We didn't get everything I wanted, or he wanted but we got a lot more than most for our dollars, just not the best address or zip code in town. But, who needs that?

I have so moved on from being frustrated and now I just find humor in the little quirks.

yes, some of the parents never got past the high school drama junk and brought it into adulthood. Hope she doesn't get tempted into what DH's ex was into. Wow.

It would truly be in her better interests to find an easier target. After the principal got finished with her daughter, she BEST leave me alone.


besides, the girl who told IS the child of a decent mom, and I am sure she has shared that exchange with others, they may not want to be besties, but they won't listen to that kind of ****. If they do, shame on them.

But shame on them for treating some parents like permanent outsiders, no matter how hard some of us try, no matter how hard we work our volunteer time, no matter our contirbutions-outside, forever. Poor DD, she didn't hit the parental lottery.

I am a bad practicing Catholic because I can't stand the hypocrites. It is just easier to stay home.
