The RT Thread Part V

Had a coworker who got sick about 6 weeks ago or so. Stroke like symptoms. He had heart issues as well as diabetes. He went driving on Sunday and didn't feel well. He pulled over and died. That's how he would want to go. He didn't linger and he didn't hurt anyone. A gentle giant is how everyone is describing him. His two grandchild attend our university and one of them had taken his class this semester. He really will be missed.

So while at work I like to sample other Disney podcasts. And I found one that was pretty interesting. Added it to my iPod. Listened to some episodes and liked what I heard. I like that there are varying opinions about Disney out there be it podcasts and websites. But then I listened to a past episode of this show and right off the bat there was a cheapshot at Lou and the show itself. Look I think it's good that there are various opinions regarding the Disney company. But the approach that was taken in this show ensures it will be taken off my iPod and I will keep the current Disney shows I listen too.

i know what you mean. i have found a few other ones that i enjoy for the various opinions and attitudes. so far no one has really "slandered" lou or any other podcasters i listen to, seems that most everyone in the podcast realm tries to respect each other.

i have to admit i am curious what podcast it was though...hahah.

went out shopping this afternoon!! found a new bathin suit for me, and some cassettes for the camcorder, and some toiltry items. i think i may put some stuff in a box though and send it down, cause i dont know if a few travel size bottles will last a week!! especially since i have to get some sunscreen, gonna need a full size bottle and since we only doing carry on i cant take it.

gonna try to find a few more tops on thursday when i am off and have some free hours to shop! want to try to pack this weekend so we will be ready!

14 days!!! yippie!

And the road trip ends. So tired. 2 trips to storage locker and van still loaded. Will have to wait till dawn.

It is super nice outside today so puppy got an extra long walk and then I went to pull weeds and plant flowers for my grandpa. He was happy about that. Thinking now it is time for a snack and maybe some reading. Sounds good to me.

That sounds like a great way to spend a day.

Next two weeks should be busy, but fun for me. Graduation, graduation party (nothing big--mom just invited the whole family out to a local pizza place), best friend's wedding shower, best friend's -other- wedding shower (oy), internship apps to take care of, and working on an independent conservation project with one of my old professors. Really hoping I don't have to add a job hunt into the mix.

Wow, your schedule sounds very busy. Weddings-bah.

bad news: it was the timing belt
good news: the four pistons all stopped in the middle ( no valve damage! )
bad news: i needed a new valve cover as it leaked oil into spark plug area
not so bad but not good: $625 to fix everything
good news: got a great discount on the repairs!

That sounds like a very fair deal. And a minimum of damage, excellent.
