    Kinda' funny...
One mornin', many years ago, after we worked the church nursery and then went to mass, we went to the PAC for donuts. I was carrying DS in and he saw Father Elmer was there and yelled... "Hey dad, look! It's Elmer Fud!"
The whole place went up! Father loved it! It was too priceless!

I have a huge selection of misc. beer downstairs, left behind by visitors to my DS gazebo bashes this summer. How long is beer good for?

It is November here in October. Not too bad considering we had December in September.

    Yikes!
Never had any a' those that I've ever heard about, and BELIEVE ME, the "church ladies" woulda' been ALL over it.
Father Elmer was very well-loved. One of our parishioners was a columnist for The Austin American Statesman and even wrote an artical about how unfortunate it was that the good ones like him had to suffer because of the transgessions of the others. Quite a good article that brought attention to both aspects of all of that sadness.

Chicago is considering farming out speed control in 50% of the areas to a camera company that will record speeds of vehicles and mail out tickets.

Sadly, we had a great deal, still do somewhat in N. IL. I hear ya, my kids were taught never to be alone with a Priest, they also never did retreats because of the unknown. Unfortunate necessity.
