Okay, after trolling the headlines, I am stunned at the number of folks who just don't think it thru.

Wow, that seems a lot, but location is everything and overall I think things are higher in certain nations.

Around here that much is a mortgage payment on a nice house., but like Gabe pointed out, that wouldn't touch a decent apartment in her area.

You would die of shock, if you saw Australian house prices. A decent place, starts at $300,000 (At least in Adelaide, and you definitely do not want to know the house prices in Sydney!!)

All she has said it we have to go to AK and ride Everest.


I loathe AK, really. But I will not only go there BUT ride EE as well, even if it gives me heart failure.

What is it about AK, that you dislike? If you don't mind me asking.

It's the same around here. If I wanted to live in a single family house I wouldn't be able to find something under 295,000 or so. And that's not the greatest house ever.

It's one of the hottest parks. It's impossible to get out of the heat there. The pathways are always crowded. There aren't a lot of things to do there. When they added Everest, it definitely made AK more appealing. But, if you're not a thrill-rider AK doesn't have a lot.. unless you like shows or want to walk around and see animals. But if you go when it's hot.. AK is ridiculous. SOOO hot. I normally can only last a morning at AK.. then I'm done.

Guess I will have to take some depends, cause DD wants to go on Tower of Terror again. i HATE that one, it makes my insides all weird. But Moms just gotta do what they gotta do. Dread that though. RNRC will be the reward. I will make her do that 4 times. LOL

Don't like thrill rides? ToT os one of my favorites!!! I love the way it makes my stomach feels! I can ride it over and over again! But, when I took my cousin on it.. she screamed bloody murder.

Absolutely. If you've never been.. you need to go! Don't think it's not a great park. It is really awesome and the theming at AK is the best (in my opinion). The animals are great.. and I really love a lot of the rides there.. but I HATE the ride in the heat. Really dispise it!

At the 3:20 min mark in that film, check out how devoid of trees or landscaping the Castle was, WOW was a major change.


The early park days looked a lot less about the landscaping. It looks barren.

The stagecoach and indians were neat though,

In one of my Disney books, I read that DL actually still had a lot of places that hadn't been landscaped by opening day. They were just covered in weeds. When the Imagineers asked Walt what do about it, he said to look up the Latin names for all of the weeds and post them in the weed beds...he said if you made them fancy sounding the guests would just think they were exotic plants

Yeah Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. IT's SOO much fun. I suggest single rider. It's so much better.
