In one of my Disney books, I read that DL actually still had a lot of places that hadn't been landscaped by opening day. They were just covered in weeds. When the Imagineers asked Walt what do about it, he said to look up the Latin names for all of the weeds and post them in the weed beds...he said if you made them fancy sounding the guests would just think they were exotic plants

And it's things like that, that make me LOVE Walt. He seems to be just a funny sincere dude.

I'm going to need to bring my laptop with me, so I can upload the billions of photos I'll be taking I'll be taking photos of EVERYTHING. Photos of what I eat for 2 weeks

I normally take over 1,000 pics every trip. I go almost every year. I love taking pictures down there! It's my favorite!

Have you seen the makeover the Monorails in Disney got. I love it. They look so cute!

Don't like thrill rides? ToT os one of my favorites!!! I love the way it makes my stomach feels! I can ride it over and over again! But, when I took my cousin on it.. she screamed bloody murder.

I love some thrill rides, but Tot, well, the fast switches between up and down just makes my insides all freaked out.


I LOVE RNRC, love Space Mountain, not all of them are good for me, and nothing at Busch Gardens works for me.

What is it about AK, that you dislike? If you don't mind me asking.

I do not like the smell, and the humidity and the crowds, the three hours wait time for Kilamanjaro and it is pretty far across with a fast pass, there are a lot of animals which is nice.
However, in order to give the Asian rainforesty-african Savannah feel, there is little air circulation and a lot of humidity.

All she has said it we have to go to AK and ride Everest.


I loathe AK, really. But I will not only go there BUT ride EE as well, even if it gives me heart failure.

I wasn't an AK fan for awhile either, but it has grown on me. The Festival of the Lion King show has become one of my very favorite things property-wide. Love it. Check it out if you haven't seen it. Also have come to enjoy the Flights of Wonder show...I never expected to really enjoy it, but now the whole family likes to stop by and see it while we're there. Some cool stuff.

Our other must do's there are the safari, EE, Dinosaur, and It's Tough to be a Bug. We never spend a whole day there, but still a good amount to do and then have a nice meal and relaxing evening somewhere else.

Me too. I have read so many books about him and watched so many original Wonderful World of Color shows that he just feels like part of the family.

Ugh Amanda! What a week. Poor Mom has a sick kid and than that. Oy.

Happy to hear Sis is home.

Yeah, she teaches in a big district (14 elementary schools) and they are in a big financial mess. Getting rid of all of the teachers who have been there under seven years is resulting in the loss of well over a hundred teachers. It makes no sense as to how they plan on getting by next year...seems like there will be a huge teacher shortage. We shall see. Just hoping that she will be able to find something by next school year, but it is not a good time for teachers to be looking for jobs, that's for sure.

But of course, sister's health is most important, so just thankful that she is home and praying that all further testing comes back good.

Hello all, had to take yesterday as a flyby my pants. SIL needed Me at her dr appt, then we did lunch. Dinner with cousin then shopping with her. Dessert here then time with puppies. Lol busy like Gabe said.

Yep, scary.

On a brighter and kinda' funny note though, this morning she started interning as a hygienist with the very orthodontist who put her in braces way back when. She's excited!

My friends kids were never excited for braces. But cousins loved the colored one out now!
