Seems Gremlin Hyperion is named after the street Walt lived on, and there is a restaurant in DLP also named hyperion.

2719 Hyperion Ave. was actually where the Walt Disney Studios was located back from about 1925-1940.
Although, you could consider him actually having "lived" there with the amount of time he spent there...!

A long time ago the sorcerer Yen Sid created a pen-and-paper world for his forgotten characters, held in an intricate model on a table, and accessible through a mirror.


This is from the Epic Mickey Wiki Wikia page. LOL, we have a member here named YenSid, but that member predates epic mickey by a LOT.

And, "Yensid" is "Disney" spelled backwards.

Time for me to hit this place with the vacuum and then head out in a bit.
Also, DW just called and they want me to meet them over at Applebee's. I get a big check for my design work and now everyone wants to eat out again...!

Frustrated right now. Supposed to take students to conference. But they have changed how to register. It is asking our students for money upfront- we normally pay them using a credit card all at one time. But now we can't register them so they have to come up with the money and we can't reimburse them because it goes above what the daily rate for food is (talking about banquet and award meal). Plus I don't know what they initially registered us for so I don't know how they did it- because I wasn't there when the dean and the president of the group made the initial registration stuff.



Okay- done griping.

Even though we don't own the game, or a Wii for that matter, I'll have to check it out at some (junction ) point.

You can rent a Wii system for $9.00 a week, no contract, return whenever AND an Epic Mickey used copy at Game Stop is about $20.00

The graphics are a little weak, BUT the attention to detail is amazing and the use of old, gone, retired, and truly ancient references are all over the place. DD likes to just "stand" as Mickey and look around at all of the details, and looks online to see what it is or was. Pretty cool. A LOT of really old black and whites are used as the gateways between areas and levels.

Def Leppard is on the Plaza on Fox this morning. Super. Love that band, the soundtrack of some really fun times.
