Harry Potter Hollywood will be within the existing park.

Harry Potter Orlando will be greatly expanded.

While I'm there next week, I will have to check out the space and see what sort of land they have around the parks. I can't picture the layout of the land they own.

Just got back from WDW and Universal. The area is very cramped. Too bad there is no way to link the two areas together because the little town they built is narrow. I was picturing a much bigger area, and that is not what I encountered.

I visited Universal this past Wednesday and I have to say that I was very impressed with their rides over Disney's offerings. Granted, the movies aren't timely in many cases, but Spiderman is hands-down the single best ride at any park I've ever been to. The Simpsons ride is better than Soarin', and the first half of ET (yeah, might be time to retire this one) is everything that Peter Pan SHOULD be.

Now that would be exciting. And addition to HP and Gringott's coaster.
Universal is Bringing it! A coaster to replace Jaws is how an upgrade should happen (though I will miss Jaws.) Beat Snow White which is weak by today's standards but replacing an attraction with a Meet and Greet?
Beyond week and cheap.

Right? I cannot understand the hatred out their for Universal. I really enjoy it. The Portofino was one of the best hotels I've stayed in also.
I'm still a fan of ET. Dated yes but so is the majority of Disney.

Never having been to Universal Florida, I have no basis for comparison. DL is super crammed already and it is a rather small park. But Disney overall needs more thrill to compete, largely because the themeing is not the main attraction for most anymore, the rides are.

Both offer great things, both have some downsides and most of us enjoy all the factions.

One note-If it weren't for Walt's genius, all of that would not exist.
