Ken will be devastated....
Shuttle launch scrubbed
CNN just said the shuttle launch has been scrubbed. Discovery has a fualty fuel tank sensor. It is a redundent sensor that tells when the tanks get low on fuel. Hopefully, everything will get right and it will happen again.

The problem lies in a sensor called an ECO sensor. It is a little like the fuel gauge on a car's dash. It had an "empty" reading instead of a full indication. like it should have been. The funny (well scary) thing: I heard the call-up and turned to someone (a pretty Swiss girl) and said "Its those darned ECO sensors". Was right on target. Yeah, Im a shuttle geek! I have been reading that it could be a quick fix, so that may mean a launch as early as Saturday. I am hoping for Sunday--the 50th birthday of Disneyland--what a birthday candle.
Anyway, Mickey was read to go!
Just an update for anyone that is interested.
No joy on finding a cause to the ECO sensor (fuel level) failures. There will be another engineering meeting and a news conferance this afternoon. There still is two weeks to go in this months launch timeline.
Still no joy. Some rumors are trying to fly with pre-Challenger rules on the fuel sensors.
