I wish that mine didn't work becuse sometimes I get an email notification and I don't see it then my mom read's it, and then she brings up the post two week's later and i'm like what??? Anyway's i'm trying to say that when I say I don't want an email notification I GET an email notification.

I should turn them off altogether. It isn't like I use them to decide if I am going to visit the sight or not and I don't follow threads 'cause that would drive me batty.

I guess I'll have to wait till the Girl Scouts are parked out front of Publix to get mine, I just hope there not melted.

Yes, that's the not so fun part hand washing.

I used to love to lick the bowl when my son's mom would bake. She could bake a cake worthy of a Disney experience and better and all those other goodies. and cook too.

One of these day's I'm going to bake some cookies. I do know how to do that from scratch and I have the recipes, that was part of the settlement. lol.

Giggle. Funny. I admire good pastry folk. My DD is a very good sweet baker and generally we do this together when she is home. I on the hand have more talent for meals. Given adequate time and desire, I am a very good cook. My Gran taught me well.

Gran also did not have recipes. It is all by sight and that is how I cook meals. Now I am teaching my DD to cook all the recipes my Gran taught me since there are not recipes to follow.

Invaluable priceless to pass that on to her, all the more since it is all by site and I know a few that cook by site and it was learned from their moms or dads.

Today during the ice storm my DD and I made muffin tops, confetti cupcakes, and Ghirardelli dark chocolate brownies.

When we were done with that this afternoon I then made Paprika Chicken for dinner tonight, my Grans recipe.

Thanks! It was a lovely outdoor ceremony. Weather was gorgeous, and the bride looked beautiful, and the groom very handsome. After the ceremony, bridal party left to have a nice lunch with immediate family. Myself, DH, FIL, FIL's partner, DH's grandparents, and Aunty & one of the cousin's all went had lunch together. Very nice day!

Yes, when I joined here the sight was called Disney World Trivia and sometimes you will see the old logo hanging around.

My family really enjoyed the books. I bought the first one when my son was going down in 2007 to do the Disney College Program.

Yep, that's how I ended up on this site.
Went lookin' for Disney books at the B&N down the street from the office after our '04 trip to get my Disney fix and found Lou's first book and bought it. Lurked on the site (really had NO clue what a website forum was at the time ), bought the second book when it came out, and continued to lurk until I finally jumped in and joined under my original user name in May of '07.
Kinda' funny how so much in those 2 books is now more like history than up-to-date trivia!

It is Girl Scout cookie time here. I'm not a big fan of scouting, but I support the almighty cookie.

After a combined decade between both DD's sellin' those puppies, our deepest thanks.
DW was a leader for both girls troops and a cookie coordinator. I was a delegate to the council for 2 years and went through training to become a certified member of the Girl Scouts so I could help with campouts and other activities in an official capacity.
Nothin' like sittin' out in front of Wal-Mart, Blockbuster, Lowes, etc. in the rain and cold and maybe doin' 2 back-to-back 3 hr. shifts to get those girls to summer camp for "free" every year. They sold more than 1,000 boxes each for 6 of those ten years. Oldest sold more than 1,500 one year. Along with some pretty darn awesome memories of their Girl Scout years in general, the whole cookie thing sure taught both of them some very valuable work ethic.
