Yea, it was beyond cool! Mainly, 'cause someone else was already in that office. I knew that from visiting for meetings while doing the contract work. They moved my coworker (one of the few that survived the layoffs - our Marketing Coordinator, and a real nice person) to another office. I would have been just fine in the space they moved the coworker to, but they just felt I needed to feel like I was really "home".

I will NEVER forget "this" day, for sure!

And yes, Carolyn is still pretty over the moon...!

Even though I'm as happy as a fly on a rib roast 'cause I'm back in my element doing what I was meant to do, this is more about my family than anything else.

I Googled it.
Funny thing about watches, from my POV, anyway...
My phone has a clock, my computer has a clock, my car has a clock, I drive by bank clocks, etc.
Seems like, to me anyway, the only reason to wear a watch these days is for fashion.
Plus, I don't like leather or plastic bands, and the really cool lookin' metal ones always tear the hairs outta' my arm...!

First day back at the firm was awesome!!!
After 4 years, very surreal and yet very familiar and like I had never been gone.
Sooo many "Welcome back!"'s, and "We missed you!"'s
They even surprised me with making sure I was back in my same old office!
Beyond that, I can't even put into words how happy, blessed and grateful I am right now...!

Just had my 2nd post go to moderation. Been a long time since this was acting up for me.

It did that to me a few weeks ago. No idea why!

I had one of our plastic shopping bags at work split open while I was bagging a customer's items...all the stuff fell out including a cast iron pipe wrench. Guess where the wrench landed? ON MY FOOT! And guess which foot it was? Oh yes, the right one...the same one that had the stress fractures! And guess where on the foot it landed, right where the stress fractures were! I don't think anything is broken but it's all swollen. Sitting at home with an ice pack on it and propped up on a pillow.

I think the universe has something against my right foot....

Ouch! I hope it feels better soon!

Yes, it does. So crazy...after the second awesome day back today, it REALLY feels like I was never even gone...!
The older I get the more exponentially time seems to pass. When I was a kiddo summer seemed like it lasted a year, nowadays it seems more like a week and a half...

I had someone explain it like this. When you are a child- say age 5- then a year is a very long time, percentage wise, to you. But the more years you have then a year becomes a much smaller percentage of your memories so it feels like it goes faster.

I like that too.
But, to me anyway, it's always seems like an innate thing that just happens as you age. So many things to do, so little time, and as you age you just seem to keep getting further and further behind - in your own mind, anyway.
There is always the need to do more, 'cause you feel like you haven't done enough. And, you don't know how much time you have left ('cause, at a certain age, we ALL start thinkin' about the odds we've beat ), and it just keeps going, making you even more aware of the passage of time.
