Re: Thoughts of Randomness VI
Yeah a new thread! No snow here but it's gotten colder, wetter and the sun is currently hidden by a ton of clouds.

Beating Indiana was quite the coup d'etat. Phew. Hoping they can hold it together now.

We have several inches but the Northernest-East portion of Illinois got so much more. Betting Nicholas got a ton too. We first had ice, then slush, then heavy wet snow. Then it got real cold. Driveway got shoveled last night but enough frozen slushy ruts. Really tricky to walk on.

My DD said UConn has a snow day today. Smart. Keep staff and commuters home.

That is smart. We had a bad snow storm the day after Christmas. I got to work just as the snow started but it was really bad when I left. I was afraid I was going to get stuck at work! Thankfully DH got a snow day so I could take his SUV instead of my sedan.
Re: Thoughts of Randomness VI
My DH Towncar has abs brakes, so he does OK, my Escape has 4x drive however not a big help on frozen ice but great in snow.
Re: Thoughts of Randomness VI
DH's SUV has traction control and AWD so it's great. I do have RWD which I think helps but I still felt better in his SUV.

I need to get up and get dressed. Time waits for no one!

Holy bok choy!
So I go and catch up on the other thread only to get to the last page and find out that puppy's a goner and VI is now up...I thought we always used to go to around 40,000, at least...?
Wanted to respond to some stuff there, so I'll try to here instead. :)

Kinda' funny thing about Texas, Gabe.
There's the West, Northwest, Southwest, Midwest, Northeast, East, Southeast, South...and then there's Texas.
We're categorized as either the West, Southwest, or South, dependin' on who's doin'
the categorizin' and what their particular agenda may, or may not, be.
It's like we're a semi-enigma...! :-D

Yeah, we are lump'd in the MidWest yet have little similar to the West, our area has more similarities to the East, well minus that, corn, soy and critter growing we do, but urban wise, more like the East than the West.

Blah! Hate when I open the drier and there is already a full dry load in there and it isn't mine!
