In the day when they were called druggists. You could practice making drugs!

    Ahhh, weekends

    1957, before my time

Girl Scout Camping Days, hated it.

I have a round vaccine scar, started on my tooshie and is to the side of my knee now! TMI?

Until the street lights went on we played these after dinner. More fun than video games.

I was given a Dr. Spook book, still good till this day.

They put these on the heels of our school/Sunday Shoes. Fun cause you could click when you were bored. Major damage to hard wood floors.

Clock radio with flip numbers. My DH still had his when we got married.

    So good!

    Ahhh Summer memories.

Yeah, it was summer hat wear, that our Moms actually did wear.

Birthday Party Game, remember hot potato too and musical chairs

Had to wear these to mass. Hands and head had to be COVERED at mass if you were a woman.

How many kids will know what this is?

I think a mall stores are a different animal. Theme parks bring out the worst both for the CMs and Guests. Many families not getting proper rest, very hot conditions, 24/7 time with family that many are not accustomed to, frustration of long lines, hustle to make ADRs, lots come into play. My folks neighbors just came back from a cruise/WDW trip. Dad owns a beer distributing corp, has 5 year old twins. A reality check for Dad for 10 days 24/7 with wife and kids.

I'm with you though, my temperament doesn't lean that direction either and neither does my DS. Some people are just ignorant in general. Once they have an issue they flip out, call people demeaning names, etc. goal to take whoever is in their path down, just little respect for others. There are Guests with very short fuses and go off into their little tangents and rant. These same guests likely go off more than once during their vacations. That is why good training to combat ugly guests is the best defense.
Totally agreeing with you on the two being different animals. But, it is still Disney and Guests expect a higher level of service and experience from anything with the Disney name on it. We're the only themed Disney Store left in Austin (the two others were closed years ago and the next closest one is an outlet Store about 20-ish miles north on I-35 in Round Rock.
That being the case, the socioeconomic range of our Guests is from one end of the scale to the other. Some regulars go on a Disney Park trip/cruise several times a year and some have never been and may never be able to go. We have Guests come in for their first visit to a Disney Store all the time, who can't even imagine a trip to WDW. Kids walk in and yell "Look mommy! It's Disney World!!!". They have never been. Some parents in tears wishing the could make it happen.
So many folks from so many different backgrounds and perspectives make for some interesting experiences.

Maybe Steve can incorporate some of these into the mega homes he designs. There is one home I've seen that had a wooden slide that went from the second floor to main level. I'd love it.
We've designed a few cool playscapes for some of the homes.
As far as slides go, we did a twisting water slide for one house from the second story deck down to the pool below, but nothing like that inside...at least as far as I can remember.
We also did a home theater several years back that had a marquee over the entrance and was framed on one side by a storm trooper in a glass case and on the other by a Yoda and a light saber in glass cases.
A 9,000 sq. ft. mediterranean custom that I just designed will have an old-fashioned snack bar in the "lobby" of their home theater.
Lots of very cool wine rooms, wine grottos, themed kids bedrooms, etc. over the years, too...!

So my DF is going away on thursday for a week......to MEXICO. Her company is having its managers meeting there. I wish I had a job like that.

Instead the Bullseye has scheduled me on for EVERY DAY except the day she comes home.... I wnted to head to NYC and take some bird pictures in Central Park. So I will try to switch it off with someone. Or I can go after work one of those days, off at 1 pm each day.

No, I didn't go on the duckboats, I went on just a boat tour, and then we walked around and went into some shops. I don't know if you have heard a Wisconsin brewery called sprecher, but anyways they have a Restaurant there so that's where we ate.
