So the All Star break is over and so I go back to Miller Park tonight. And the Brewers are not going to make the playoffs this year, and that's a really odd feeling. You see the first time I really gave any thought about the playoffs was when I was six years old, before that I just went to the games and thought nothing of it. But one night when the Brewers were losing I thought what the bleep? Why can't we ever make it to this thing that a lot of people made a big deal about? Why do we always lose? And then the next year we had our first winning season, at one point we were even the best team in baseball. and then in 2008 we finally made the playoffs, and the fans didn't care how long we went because we made it! The next two years were down years, but then in 2011 out of nowhere we made big trades and were two wins away from the WS, and if we had lost to Phillies it would not have mattered because the only thing I wanted to do was to be better then the bleeping Cardinals. But who did we lose to? The bleeping Cardinals. And so last year we almost made the playoffs, but if we had just 1% of those injuries taken off we would have made it. But every year since 2006 the Brewers have been looking to make the playoffs up until this year, and that's the odd felling I have.
