Scientists say Doritos' are so addictive because one of the 5 basic tastes, savory triggers memory and the flavorings on top of Doritos' are balanced and one does not over power the other and lingers in the mouth, continuing to trigger the memory which triggers the impulse to eat.

The Red Cross wants "War Crimes" to be levied while playing video games. It would teach the penalties for committing war crimes if players were penalized for their actions during games.

In China you will now go to ail if you caught spreading lies online. If what you post is forwarded 400 times or viewed by 5000 people or more you will spend 3 years in jail for 'stirring up trouble.'

So I can go to jail for killing someone in a video game? I should be wanted by now.

You would go to virtual jail as a penalty in the video game. Red Cross wants it to simulate consequences of real life.

It's half-day Friday, and I'm chillin' at the casa. Lots of stuff to do tomorrow and Sunday.
I turn on the tube (although, there are no tubes involved anymore ) and start surfin'. I find, of all things, "Smokey and the Bandit" on AMC. Haven't watched this in forever and wasn't a huge fan, but I'm feelin' kinda' nostalgic.
Can't believe they actually have it rated at 3 stars, though...?!?!

The archi job is goin' quite amazing. Apparently, the old dog is more capable of the learning of the new tricks thing, than even the old dog thought he was.
After bein' outta' the game for so long it's been a bit crazy, but the partners are all happy, and impressed.
I sure hope so, 'cause there were times over the last few months when my head felt like it wanted to explode!!!
Along with catchin' up on the CAD tech and learning the SketchUp 3D modeling, now it's time for the Piranesi rendering that follows. Only a few people in the office know how to do any of this.
Good Lord, I truly feel so blessed that they put it on me 'cause they know I can do it.

That's great Steve!!! Job security for sure! That's a big reason I just got my instructor certification for Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support recently. That kind of stuff makes a guy very versatile.

    Good morning!

Long weekend for us, which is great! Started my Saturday off with some pumpkin scones. Yum yum.

Our Christmas trip to Queensland has slightly changed. Instead of DH meeting me at his sister's house in QLD,and then us driving down the east coast on the way home, to see friends and family we are now both flying up there and back and spending 3 weeks up at my SIL's place.

    Thanks Jason!
I just hope the economy doesn't tank again anytime soon...!
But, at least, I know I have other skills now, so that's a plus.
Funny, one of the first things I thought about gettin' into, back in '09 when I was layse off, was health care. There's always a need for that. The work good folks like yourself do is a priceless thing!
And you're VERY correct...a versatile person is an employed person...!
